who we are
The American Center for Credit Education (ACCE) is a nonprofit, accredited organization, whose mission is to make available to all consumers, through various community resources, national standardized credit and financial education. We produce, publish, and distribute a wide variety of financial education products, both in textbook and online format. For more information on individual programs, navigate to the Partner Section for prospective and current partners and the Students Section for students and click on the book cover for the program.
what we do
ACCE works on a grassroots level with nonprofit credit counseling and housing agencies and community organizations throughout the United States to encourage, influence, support, and educate consumers about their financial responsibilities. In addition to these groups, we have experience working with all of the following groups and organizations:
- Extension offices
- Human Resources
- Individual Development Accounts (IDA)
- AFB and Military
- Community action programs
- Financial education organizations, such as Jump$tart, The National Endowment for Education (NEFE), the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE), and Certified Financial Planners (CFP)
- Correctional systems
- Tribes
- Vocational Rehabilitation
- Micro enterprises
We also work with other agencies in monitoring the success of the program in order to provide measurable results. We will surpass 1 million students reached with our financial education programs in the year 2009.
